Blueberry Raspberry Smoothie Bowl

I am the worst at getting up in the morning.  I barely have time to take my dog for a quick walk, shower and run out the door.  I stay in bed until the last possible second and then my breakfast suffers and therefore I suffer for the rest of the day.  I’ve gotten into the habit of prepping breakfast foods for the weekend or the night before.  This is something new I tried this week and would definitely recommend.

My mom and I have been doing this 14 Day Ab Challenge with Beach Body and with it came a bunch of recipes.  I adapted their Acai Smoothie Bowl recipe and made it my own.

This recipe will make enough for 2 breakfasts.


Blueberry Raspberry Smoothie Bowl

Ingredients:

  • 2/3 cup frozen blueberries
  • 2/3 cup frozen raspberries
  • 1 banana
  • 1/2-1 cup Almond milk (or milk of your choice)
  • 1/4 cup shredded coconut
  • 2 tablespoons Chia seeds

Directions:

  • Blend the frozen blueberries and raspberries as well as the banana and Almond milk together.  Add as much Almond milk as you need for the right consistency of the smoothie.  Pour it in a bowl and top it off with your favorite ingredients!  It’s that simple!
